The ‘Lavrar o Mar’ cultural agenda is returning to Aljezur and Monchique with two original culinary experiences that promise to delight foodies.

There will be two gourmet events taking place– ‘Pasta e Basta – an Italian Mambo’ and ‘Conciorto’.

‘Pasta e Basta’ is described as a “memorable experience” that combines theatre and gastronomy. What’s special about the event is that audience members will be cooking their own fresh pasta while being told a story of fiction written by Portuguese author Afonso Cruz.

There will also be a special version for families with children. Tickets cost €10 for adults and €5 for children under 12.

‘Conciorto’, on the other hand, will allow guests to enjoy both a delicious meal cooked by Italian chef Luigi Gautero as well as a performance by eccentric duo Lugi Carlone and Biagio Bagini, who turn vegetables into instruments in their own distinctive musical show.

Tickets cost €15.

‘Pasta e Basta’ will take place at Grupo Recreativo Folclórico do Rogil from November 16 to 19, starting at 7.30pm the first three days and at 11.30am on the last.

It will return for a second round of events at Parque da Mina in Monchique between December 1 and 3.

‘Conciorto’ will premiere at the Barlefante bar in Monchique on November 21 at 9.30pm, followed by three events at the Várzea bistro in Aljezur the following four days at 7.30pm.

The first stage of ‘Lavrar o Mar’ also features ‘Vassilissa’, a play aimed at children that will be performed in Aljezur on November 30 and December 1 and in Monchique on December 10 and 11, and ‘Klaxon’, a series of circus shows that will be held at Monchique’s heliport between December 28 and January 1.
