Albufeira’s Abrakadabra magic festival is returning this year with two shows that promise to stun audiences at the Palácio de Congressos do Algarve in Herdade dos Salgados on Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23.

The first show will be led by famous TV magician Mário Daniel, who will be bringing his illusionism show ‘Fora do Baralho’ to the Algarve.

It is described as a “magic, theatre and comedy show for the whole family mixing illusionism with theatrical arts to tell the story of a magician in the midst of creating his next magic show”.

Mário Daniel was already performing publicly at the tender age of 14. In 2011, he received a “Recognition Prize” from the Portuguese illusionism association (Associação Portuguesa de Ilusionismo).

He is better known as the host of the ‘Minutos Mágicos’ TV show on SIC, which will be making a comeback this month.

The festival comes to an end the following day with singing musician Solange Kardinaly, who will bring her own ‘Quick-Change’ act that sees her changing clothes at impressive speeds and her song “Magic” which was written especially for the act.

It was with this act that Kardinaly became the first female magician to finish first at the International General Magic Festival.

Spanish magician Yunke, described as one of the most renowned in the world, will also bring his theatrical show ‘Conjuro’ to Albufeira, promising to offer some “truly magic acts and fun games appealing to all audiences”.

All shows begin at 9.45pm.

Daily tickets cost €12 for adults and €10 for students, seniors (+65) and Albufeira residents. There is also a two-day pass (€20) and a daily family pass for four people (€45).

They can be purchased at the venue on show days, at FNAC, Worten and Media Markt or online at www.blueticket.pt
