After many years stuck in limbo, the project to build an old people’s home and day care centre in Altura has just received a substantial boost towards completion.

Castro Marim council has pledged an extra €100,000 to help finish the construction of the home, after having already granted the same amount to the Cegonha Branca association in 2008.

However, the project was halted that same year after it failed to gather the necessary licences which it now has.
