A group of holidaymakers from the ‘Portugal Invasion’ trip got into yet another brawl - after causing chaos in Albufeira's Oura bar district on Monday (click here). This time it was at Faro Airport on Tuesday (June 27) when three women were involved in a fight at around 3.30pm in the passport control queue.

A Portuguese witness told British press that one of the women grabbed a queue barrier pole and hit another with it.

“They started fighting with each other, slapping, punching, screaming and grabbing each other's hair. It was crazy,” the witness said.

“They just didn’t care about other passengers. They were running over old people and babies.

“A border agent and a shop employee tried to stop them but it was only when police arrived that they were able to bring things under control. It lasted for about five minutes.

“At one point I saw six or seven police officers running past me and grabbing them and isolating the area.”

A police source explained that two of the women weren’t allowed to board the flight and “stayed on the ground with the husband of one of the women,” though no arrests were made.
