Algarve Classic Festival, described as the “largest classic cars event in the south of Europe”, is returning to the international racetrack in Portimão between Friday, October 19 and Sunday, October 21.

Every year, the festival brings over 300 teams and 500 drivers from all over the world to Portugal’s southernmost region.

There will be all kinds of races taking place, including 11 European Championships, as well as the debut of a classic motorbike race.

Paulo Pinheiro, the racetrack’s CEO, says “this will be another year of success for the Algarve Classic Festival”.

He added: “This is certainly an event for the lovers of classic vehicles, be them two- or four-wheeled.”

One of the organisers of the event, Diogo Ferrão says that the Algarve Classic Festival “is one of the most beloved events by the public and European drivers.

“It is organised not only with drivers in mind, but also true enthusiasts who are able to appreciate the beauty and rarity of the fantastic machines that will be competing.”
