Granja accountancy firm in conjunction with the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) has arranged a seminar Doing business in Portugal – Advice on how to cope with the new Portuguese government budget (2009) to be held on February 19 at the Grande Real Santa Eulália in Albufeira.  The seminar is for both those who have an existing business in Portugal or are looking to set up a new enterprise during 2009.Speaker Filomena Ramilo, an accountant and tax consultant, will be guiding investors through tax, labour and company law during the seminar giving the audience a comprehensive illustration of the Portuguese government budget of 2009.This is a chance to learn about the taxes you need to pay or might well be exempt from as either a resident or non resident running a business in Portugal.Different regimes of taxation for companies, individuals and offshore companies will be explored as well as defining the various business types in Portugal from corporation to Limited Liability Company.The programme, which runs from 10am until 1.30pm, will allow plenty of time for all questions to be addressed and queries answered.The seminar costs 20 Euros for members and 36 Euros for non members.  Lunch is also available for an additional cost.For further information or to book your place please call (00351) 213 942 020 or email h.fernandes@bpcc.pt.
