Parchal and Carvoeiro are in line for “renovation projects”, Lagoa council has announced.

The first involves building new pavements along Rua Infante de Sagres, the road that crosses Parchal and leads to the old bridge that links the town to Portimão.

The idea is to make the route more pedestrian-friendly.

In Carvoeiro, the plan is for the creation of viewpoints and walkways from the little town to Rocha Brava, an area “very much appreciated by those who visit us”, says the council.

A tender for both projects – estimated to cost around €285,000 each and take four months to complete – has been launched.
