Over 100 stray cats have been sterilised – some even found homes – as part of a project launched in February by Ferragudo parish council.

With the help of Carvoeiro’s Cat Charity and local scouts, a number of cat shelters have also been set up throughout the town and flyers with info on the responsibilities of owning pets are being handed out.

For more information on the initiative, contact the parish council (282461369) or Carvoeiro Cat Charity (966 056 300).
