Amendoeira Golf Resort in Alcantarilha (Silves) staged another successful edition of the Oceânico World Kids Golf, described as “Portugal’s most important international youth golf tournament”.

The event took place between July 24 and 28 and saw 136 youngsters from 13 countries competing on the renowned Faldo and O’Connor Jnr courses.

The tournament allows boys and girls aged 7 to 18 an opportunity to showcase their skills and advance in the game.

It is known as a “firm favourite amongst the game’s future stars” and as a way of providing young golfers with a week to remember and an insight into the life of a professional golfer.

• Under-9 girls: Eleanor Lichtenhein (England)
• Under-9 boys: Luca Randall (England)
• Under-10 girls: Inês Belchior (Portugal)
• Under-10 boys: Oscar Lent (England)
• Under-12 girls: Ana da Costa Rodrigues (Portugal)
• Under-12 boys: Andrew Hendry (Scotland)
• Under-14 girls: Sarah Mardani (England)
• Under-14 boys: John Keane (England)
• Under-16 girls: Megan Simmons (England)
• Under-16 boys: Owen Meeds (England)
• Under-18 girls: Margaux Silva (France)
• Under-18 boys: Cavan Mallon (England)
