It was with great flair that Hotel Faro, in the Algarve’s capital city, unveiled a series of gastronomic novelties including a new menu at its restaurant, new cocktails at its rooftop bar and a ‘brinner’ concept.

The announcement party took place on June 14 and attracted illustrious guests such as Faro mayor Rogério Bacalhau and even featured a number of performances by trampoline artists, living statues, musicians and DJs.

The new menu at the Ria Formosa restaurant features such mouthwatering creations as ravioli stuffed with cuttlefish, foie gras, sole fish and scarlet shrimp, merino lamb loin with caramelised onions and duck breast with truffle risotto.

For dessert, diners can indulge in a special take on the traditional cappuccino with joconde cake, meringue and hazelnuts.

The restaurant will also serve ‘brinner’ on Mondays, a finger food buffet which can be enjoyed to the sound of music and with an “amazing view.”

But an even more impressive view – of the historic city centre and the Ria Formosa beyond - can be enjoyed at the Cosmopolitan Rooftop Bar, which also unveiled a series of new cocktails presented in creative ways.

‘Na Praia’ (On the Beach) is served in a small beach bucket, while ‘No Spa’ (At the Spa) is served on a board with candles. The bar will also have a charitable cocktail every month, with part of the proceeds going to a local charity association.
