Casa de Santo Amaro in Lagos, a home for disabled people, received much-needed donations to help it restore its activities room that was destroyed last summer by a fire. Fundraiser Jennifer A. Herrtage thanked all who donated towels, bedlinen, curtains and materials for the now restored activities room and those who repainted and wired the room after the fire. “Bedlinen and towels need not be new and are always welcome as they use so much,” she told us.
