La Bella Barca is the name of a new Italian restaurant that was officially inaugurated at the Vilamoura Marina last Saturday, July 21.

The restaurant is a joint partnership between Hilton Vilamoura and the marina and hopes to establish itself as one of the highlights of Italian cuisine in Vilamoura.

It also aims to provide “a true Italian experience through a convivial, well-decorated and attractive environment.”

With a menu filled with delicious options from antipasti, salads and pizzas to mouth-watering fresh pasta and risotto, La Bella Barca promises to have something for everyone.

The management highlights the ‘Risotto alle Cappesante’ with scallops and salami and the ‘Risotto La Bella Barca’ with razor clams, oysters, green pea mousse and tiger prawns.

Dishes are made with a variety of Italian and Mediterranean ingredients like the Parmigiano Reggiano, an Italian cheese that is aged for 24 months, and Pecorino Toscano, a firm-textured ewe’s milk cheese produced in Tuscany and is used in popular dishes like Carbonara.

La Bella Barca also offers a fine selection of desserts such as a Tiramisu with chocolate cream and Bailey’s, a coffee and cardamom panna cotta with vanilla foam and Sicilian biscuit as well as a selection of ice-creams.

Last but not least the restaurant’s wine list “will take customers on a sensorial journey through Italian grapes as well as the best Portuguese wines”.

The new restaurant is open every day from 9am to midnight.
