A new mobile health unit, essential to providing door-to-door medical care in isolated communities, was presented in Giões, Alcoutim.

Representing a €75,000 investment, the health unit was unveiled on November 1 in a ceremony attended by ARS Algarve boss Paulo Morgado.

Hopes are that it can help improve primary health care for the “more vulnerable populations” and make access to healthcare “more equal”.
