An abundance of new signings with a mixture of youth and experience augers well for an interesting opening to Olhanense’s season in the Campeonato de Portugal.

Two Koreans - Kim (ex-Operário, Azores) and midfielder Lee - join Erick (ex-Almancilense), Miguel Campos, keeper Ricky Gomes (ex-Arbroath FC, Scotland) and 21 year-old Thawan Marcos (ex-Sociedade Esportiva Itapirense, Brazil) on the roster for the new campaign.

A warm-up game against Almancilense resulted in a 8-1 win for Olhanense with Kainã (ex-Felgueiras) bagging a brace plus Hassan, Leandro Andrade, Nilson, Ivan, João Barbosa and Fábio grabbing one-apiece.

Olhanense travelled to Armação de Pêra last Saturday to face Armacenenses and drew 1-1 with the Senegalese Aya Diouf (ex-EI San Martín, Spain) finding the back of the net for the visitors. Olhanense start their league programme away to Pinhalnovense on August 12 and a week later will entertain Louletano in Olhão.
