Lisbon’s Museu Coleção Berado has been placed in the 100 most-visited museums of the world after attracting over a million entries last year. In fact the exact number - 1,006,145 visitors - puts the museum in 65th place, quite some way behind the ‘world leader’, the Louvre, visited by 7.4 million people in 2016, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, visited by 7 million.

Also on the list is the Museu de Belém (74th spot) which continues to reel in sightseers and tourists.
