Saluki restaurant is the first of its kind to open in the Lagoa-Ferragudo area.

From the team who brought you The Wolf Bar and Grill in Carvoeiro, this new restaurant opened its doors on Tuesday, August 9 and marks the beginning of major improvements happening in the Vila Gaivota resort in Ferragudo.

Serving a fusion of Mediterranean and Moorish cuisine, the Moroccan-inspired restaurant conjures up a great atmosphere of a more relaxed dining experience, where guests are invited to try a unique lunch or dinner menu.

Owner Anthony Dunn says: “This is not your average Mediterranean menu. We have carefully selected flavours that we know will delight all tastes. This restaurant is in the perfect location, which is as special as our menu.”

Vila Gaivota sits in-between Praia dos Caneiros and Praia do Pintadinho and is under new management of the Carvoeiro Clube Group.

With fantastic sea views from the roof terrace, guests can relax with a drink at sunset before enjoying dinner in the poolside restaurant.

Saluki is open daily for lunch from midday to 3pm and dinner from 6pm to 10.30pm.

Saturday, August 13, saw the restaurant’s “official” launch party where everyone was delighted to try a sample of the varied menu, and see how Chef Sri Shetty has worked hard to ensure there really is something for everyone.
