May 26 – St Patricks Soc. Irish May Walk, led by that famous Algarve walker Peter Eichhorn. Our walk will take place at Corte Valada around 5 km north of Odiaxere. We will meet at 10.30am. The walk will be approx. 7-8 km long. With the lovely walk chosen, we may have to cross a shallow stream, I advise bringing a small towel to dry wet feet. Directions: In the center of Odiaxere turn north direction Baragem. Set counter to zero. Follow the road for 2,20 km and turn right direction Farta Vaca. After 3,55 km turn left uphill a dirt track to Corte Velada. Follow this road until your counter shows 5,00 km. Park behind the ruin at the right side. You are now at 37° 11´08.58”N; 8° 40´18.62 W. Lunch is available after the walk so please let us know if are coming and if you wish to stay for lunch. Contact John O Neill 969 459 029 or Peter Eichhorn 914 078 174
