Is Saddam Hussein on hunger strike?
The US military has denied claims that Saddam Hussein and 11 top leaders of his former regime are on hunger strike. A lawyer for ex-deputy Prime Minister, Tariq Aziz had reportedly said the group stopped eating at the US detention centre early this week.

Lieutenant-Colonel Barry Johnson said: “These reports are absolutely untrue.”

Ousted Iraqi dictator, Saddam, captured by US forces last December, faces charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity. He was visited recently by the International Committee of the Red Cross, which claims he is in good health but has refused to give more details.
