Tavira’s rural Quinta do Marco hotel will be hosting a wine pairing dinner on Friday, October 27.

All meals will be accompanied by Tavira’s own Al Ria wines.

Chef Benjamin Bívar will be in charge of the menu and pairing his creations with the wines.

The Al Ria rosé will be served as the welcome drink, as well as with the starter which will be a pea soup with garlic croutons.

One of the main dishes will be ‘Polvo à Lagareiro’ (Lagareiro-style octopus), which is octopus cooked with potatoes and drizzled with olive oil and garlic. It will be accompanied by the Al Ria white.

The meat dish will be lamb in the oven with polenta and grilled vegetables, served with Al Ria’s red, while dessert will be a fig parfait accompanied by the Al Ria reserva.

Price is €25 per person.

Quinta do Marco is located in Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, Tavira. Its restaurant boasts a “panoramic view over the Algarve mountains all the way to the ocean”.
