Portugal is in for another weekend of perfect sunshine, ideal for a trip to the beach.

According to forecasts, maximum temperatures will reach 32ºC down south - hotter than Porto (30ºC) but considerably cooler than Lisbon (35ºC) and parts of the sweltering Alentejo (37ºC).

Meantime, 12 districts are under yellow alert until Sunday due to the heat: Coimbra, Leiria, Santarém, Lisboa, Évora, Setúbal, Beja, Vila Real, Bragança, Guarda, Castelo Branco and Portalegre.

As TVI24 points out, this weekend may see even more Portuguese flocking to the Algarve as Tuesday (August 15) is a Bank Holiday, seeing many taking Monday off to enjoy a four-day break.
