Although the sun is shining brightly today (February 17), forecasts predict a wet weekend, particularly on Saturday.

According to the Portuguese Sea and Atmosphere Institute (IPMA), rain will start tomorrow morning and continue through the day.

The weather is expected to clear up on Sunday except in the Algarve – usually the place with Portugal’s best weather – where rain is described as a constant threat.

Temperatures will be mild, with maximums ranging between 9ºC in Guarda and 18ºC in Faro.

Minimums are not expected to drop below 8ºC in the Algarve and Lisbon, 6ºC in Porto and 2ºC in Guarda.

Visit www.ipma.pt for more forecasts.
