An ensemble of some of the world’s best chefs are joining forces for Conrad Algarve’s Culinary Extravaganza which is taking place this weekend (November 4-6) at the Quinta do Lago hotel.

The three-day gourmet experience, described as the “culinary event of the year,” features a total of 15 world renowned Michelin-starred chefs.

They are coming together to create a series of “exclusive culinary events throughout the weekend, hosted by one of the world’s leading chefs, Heinz Beck”.

The initiative begins with the Grand Opening Event ‘Culinary Heaven’ (€245) on November 4, followed by a ‘BBQ Brunch’ (€95) and a ‘Michelin Dining Experience’ (€245) on November 5, and a ‘Roof Garden Lunch’ (€95) and a ‘Closing Dinner Party’ (€245) on November 6.

Organisers say the event will be “another three days boasting a unique fusion of flavours, technique, and gastronomic finesse to tantalise all the senses”.

Besides Heinz Beck, the all-star team of chefs also includes three-Michelin starred chef Jacob-Jan Boerma, two-starred chefs Maurizio Serva, Juan Amador and Sidney Schutte, and one-starred chefs Chris Galvin and Joo Woon, as well as renowned chefs Osvalde Silva, Christoph Jefferson, Franco Luise, Shota Goderdzishvili, Joe Barza, Idan Hadad and Roberto Horta.

Miguel Martins, head sommelier at Conrad Algarve, will be in charge of wine pairing.

The Culinary Extravaganza will also host the presentation of a new wine, JFF – Just for Friends, and a new sparkling wine, Espumante Sommelier.

The event was held last year for the first time and proved to be a huge success, bringing together 11 Michelin-star chefs.
